Vigneti Massa Croatina Pertichetta 2008

Bright purple, with a nose really cool and deep. At the first time, the bouquet is dominated by the fragrances of wild berry fruits - strawberry, raspberry and blueberry - then the spectrum is permeated by herbaceous and earthy notes, while a strong mineral footprint binds to a light spicy sensation.

In the mouth the attack is agile, upright and decided, with the fruity expression finding an elegant and precise confirmation. The taste continues in growing, under a concrete acid-tannic grip that marginalizes the alcohol (14.5%) and constantly recalling the cup to the mouth.
Final returns of cherry, anise and liquorice, enrich the fleshy mouthful, for a long and savory persistence.

Marco De Bartoli Grillo Integer 2010

"Integer" means, meanwhile, that the interventionist hand of the man is kept to a minimum, despite the attentions are very high. No filtrations, because the liquid is slightly turbid, no sulfur, no stabilization and no clarification.
It macerates for the duration of fermentation - spontaneous, with indigenous yeasts - in oak barrels. Yes, a macerated wine, the kind that I like, those whose the characteristics of the varietal grape are not mortified.

Intact since nose. Sicily 100 percent. I would first to write what is not there. The perfumes are many and very fresh, elegant and strict cleanliness, and the risk of losing someone is right around the corner.
So go with citrus, also confits - citron, orange and tangerine - the pomegranate and apricot, saffron, many dried fruits - almond and fig - then date, resin and fragrant iodine notes.

Integrity also manifesting by the taste. It impresses with freshness and acidity, and all the olfactory equipment that has immediate and amplified confirmations. Masterful in its balance, with a focus turned to the domain alcohol (14.5°!).

Excellent fatness of a structured sip - combined with roast chicken - and adorned with amplitudes, verticality and remarkable persistence. A rich salinity, a lot of almond, fig syrup, date and other marine hints, complete an excellent drink.

Let’s buy one bottle, taste it, and make an honest comparison, with the other macerated wines.

Top Ten Champagne 2015

It is known, a few days, the result of the champagne blind tasting, which organizes every year, "Fine Champagne Magazine".

The ranking is drawn up after the tasting, strictly blindly, of hundreds of champagnes coming from maisons and vignerons. Producers are allowed to choose which year to send to the panel of tasters, provided that the product is for sale.

This year, on the top of the list, there is the Dom Ruinart Rosé 2002. It seems to be the year of rosé, because in particular, just three rosé occupy the top three.

Here’s the list:

Brezza Barolo Bricco Sarmassa 2004

Barolo village, border La Morra village, subsoil characterized by the presence of Saint Agata’s marl fossil.
"Bricco" is the fee on top and the oldest vineyard, enclosed in the cru Sarmassa - a cru in the cru - 2.5 hectares of vineyards with more than 60 years, except for a small portion, replanted in 2000.
Frame the Brezza’s Barolo, it means, first and foremost, long maceration and barrel from 30 hl.

The glass is a warm transparent garnet.
The nose starts floral and vegetal, with scents of violets, thyme and bay leaf, then discovers a fruit side - plum and cherry, strawberry and raspberry - joined to spicy hints - pepper and mace - and inserts of cocoa.

The palate, with freshness from Nebbiolo race, alternates with an alcohol content sometimes powerful. For the rest, I meet structure, complexity and dynamism, with dense tannins.
Long finish, for a burning mouth, wrapped in rhubarb and licorice root.

Very powerful and durable vintage, which will give us vibrant emotions.
