Praesidium Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo 2014

Pure Montepulciano grape, two days of maceration, only steel, for a brilliant rosé, more reddish than rosy.

It has a delicate and beautiful nose, smelling rose and geranium, cherry and pomegranate, small red fruits, with fresh minerality that, with each passing minute, it takes a substantial slice of the olfactory range.

In the mouth, it stands for freshness and it shows consistently aligned with the olfactory evolution. Vinous, but very agile, the sip confirms generosity and clean aromas, the fruity ones, as those floral, while a timely acidity gives balance to the entire plant, with lively tannic texture.

References of spices, with strong savory-mineral gusts, hatching a closed, medium-length and persistence, pleasantly bitter. Having "dried" the bowl in half an hour, is explaining you “the very high danger” drink.
Really enjoyed.

Champagne Bouquin-Dupont Fils Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2002

The Mr. Dominique’wines, you read many times on these pages, even in the vintage version, have their why and demonstrate the goodness of the work of this small rm maison, whose annual production is approximately 15,000 bottles.

Whenever I go to Avize, at Dominique’s house, he always speaks to me, about the "expression of the terroir", which must have its champagnes.
His obsession, which has become the hallmark of its bubbles.
This bowl, has evolved well, even if the maturity is obvious to the eye, the nose and the palate. It is evolving, but not maturity.

Chalky minerality, inlays of candied citrus, mushroom and moss sensations, are the main features characterizing the olfactory and the tasting aspect.
I expected a less rustic bubble, less rough, but the terroir is there.
Intense and sharp sips, still appreciable freshness, long finish with iodine aromas.
